Mushroom Immersion: 11/09/24

Join us for a day of hands-on community mushroom experiences through skill share, artist talk and working together to create a permanent gourmet mushroom farm at Shadow Walls!

In a hands-on workshop with TALKROT, participants will dive into the fascinating world of mushroom cultivation. Under expert guidance, you’ll gain practical knowledge on selecting and preparing logs, inoculating mushroom spawn, and setting up productive garden beds that support healthy mushroom growth. In addition, you will be able to take home your own inoculated mushroom bucket!

Within our mission to connect art, nourishment and healing, we are thrilled to host artist SiSi Chen. Chen will speak on her practice, constellational understanding and plans to activate the mushroom farm with site-specific durational sculptural installations.

Together, we’ll create a thriving and artistic mushroom farm at Shadow Walls, providing participants with a unique, educational, and memorable experience that celebrates the incredible world of fungi.
